If you are a café/restaurant using MielMate, you may also be a data controller for the personal data of your guests and staff processed through the Service. In many cases, MielMate acts as a processor/service provider on your behalf.

• Account & business data: name, email, phone (optional), venue details (name, address, opening hours), menu content you upload, staff/role settings.
• Order data: items ordered, quantities, notes entered by guests, table identifiers, timestamps, and order status history.
• Technical data: device and browser information, IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), logs, and security-related events.
• Support communications: messages you send to support and information you choose to share.

3. How we use information

• Provide and operate the Service (menus, QR ordering, dashboards, notifications).
• Authenticate users, maintain accounts, and support team access/roles.
• Improve reliability, prevent abuse, detect fraud, and secure the Service.
• Communicate with you about updates, support, and important service notices.
• Analytics (optional): if we add analytics in the future, we will only enable non-essential analytics cookies where required and where you have provided consent.
