This Privacy Policy explains how MielMate (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website, admin dashboard, and table-ordering experience (together, the “Service”).

If you are a café/restaurant using MielMate, you may also be a data controller for the personal data of your guests and staff processed through the Service. In many cases, MielMate acts as a processor/service provider on your behalf.
2. What we collect
- Account & business data: name, email, phone (optional), venue details (name, address, opening hours), menu content you upload, staff/role settings.
- Order data: items ordered, quantities, notes entered by guests, table identifiers, timestamps, and order status history.
- Technical data: device and browser information, IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), logs, and security-related events.
- Support communications: messages you send to support and information you choose to share.
3. How we use information
- Provide and operate the Service (menus, QR ordering, dashboards, notifications).
- Authenticate users, maintain accounts, and support team access/roles.
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, detect fraud, and secure the Service.
- Communicate with you about updates, support, and important service notices.
- Analytics (optional): if we add analytics in the future, we will only enable non-essential analytics cookies where required and where you have provided consent.
